There could be a range or configuration issue if your ZEN30 switch is displaying as "offline" in Hubitat A Z-Wave Repair could fix the issue.
You’ll want to check that you have the latest version of Hubitat and the latest firmware update installed on your device. If you do, then you can use repair Z-Wave, to refresh your mesh network's connections. Follow these steps to perform a Z-Wave repair in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
A "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message should appear before you send any commands to your ZEN30 switch. Once the repair is done, you can give inclusion another go.
Try these suggestions if your device still isn’t connecting:
- If the Z-Wave Repair doesn't work, you can try removing and re-adding the Double Switch. The switch may not have formed a stable communication route between the device and Hubitat the first time. Exclusion acts as a soft reset to help the ZEN30 form the best route to the hub.
- If you have one available, a Z-Wave signal repeater can be installed to help the hub stabilize communication with the ZEN30 if it's a range or an interference issue. This can be any non-battery powered Z-Wave device like another switch, smart plug, etc. You’ll want to run another Network Repair so the hub can recognize the additional device and improve communication.
- If you’re able to, try the switch in a location closer to the hub to see if it’s an issue of range and communication improves. You’ll want to exclude and re-include the switch from the new location.
