Compatibility lies in your Z-Wave system's software, and not all software supports multisensors like the ZSE40 4-in-1 Sensor.
This product is discontinued and replaced with the new ZSE11. What does that mean?
Let's start with the systems that DO support the ZSE40 4-in-1 Sensor:
- Almond (Securify)
- HomeSeer (Z-Wave Plus or Z-Wave JS Front End)
- Hubitat (C-5 or earlier hub only, may not work correctly on C-7 due to S0 security issues)
- ISY
- Home Assistant
- SmartThings with custom device handler
- Z-Box
Systems that DON'T support the ZSE40 4-in-1 Sensor:
- Wink
- Ring
- Alarm.com
- ADT Pulse
- Vivint
- Honeywell
- Qolsys
- 2GIG
- All other alarm panels
Unfortunately, Wink doesn't support devices using multi-level command classes, like multisensors, regardless of brand.
Alarm panels like the ones listed above are closed systems with limited Z-Wave compatibility. They'll typically only work with single switches and relays, door locks, select thermostats, and any authorized devices on their official lists. They don't support multisensors, like the 4-in-1 Sensor, but you also won't be able to use other binary sensors with alarm panels, such as flood sensors, door/window sensors, and motion sensors.
Figuring out compatibility can be a pain so we try to be as transparent about it as possible, making sure all retail channels include that information in product descriptions as well. Let us know if you have any questions about your system!
