While the ZEN34 is not supported by Vera as of 11/2020, you should be able to include it to your system, and program it via direct association!
The direct association method works between 2 Z-Wave devices included with the same security level only. You will be able to program the ZEN34 to control other Z-Wave devices added with no security or with S2 Authenticated security level exclusively. If you're not sure which security level your devices were added with, get in touch with our support team and we'll help.
First, follow these steps to include the ZEN34 to your Vera hub. Once included, here's how to set up direct association for the ZEN34 in Vera:
- Click on the trigger device in the Vera dashboard
- Go to Device Options
- Under Associations enter 2 for Group ID, then Add Group.
- Click on Set and select the device you'd like to trigger.
- Click the top paddle on the ZEN34 Remote Switch 7 times quickly to wake it up.
Group 2 will send a command to turn other Z-Wave devices on or off. If you're using the ZEN34 as a remote dimmer and would like to change the brightness level on a Z-Wave dimmer, please follow the instructions above and enter 3 for Group ID in step 3 to add the dimming functionality (you'll still need to set up Group 2 for on/off operation).
