If your ZSE11 sensor is having trouble communicating with SmartThings, it could be out of range or experiencing connectivity issues.
You can use the network repair feature to refresh your mesh network's connections using the SmartThings app. See the steps below:
- Open your SmartThings app and locate your SmartThings hub under Devices. Tap the hub to see the device details.
-
Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner and tap Settings
- Tap Z-Wave Utilities
- Tap Repair Z-Wave Network
- Tap Start Repair
Once you see the "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message (which can take up to 15 minutes), you can try to send commands to the Q Sensor or re-include it back into your network.
If Network Repair doesn't help, try bringing the sensor closer to SmartThings. Exclude it and re-include it from within direct range of the hub. If the sensor includes successfully and stays connected, it's possible the previous spot is out of SmartThings' range or there are too many interferences in that location.
We'd also recommend excluding and re-including the sensor from the installation location directly. Similar to the idea behind Network Repair, it's possible that SmartThings hasn't found the most efficient communication route to the Q Sensor. This can occasionally happen when you include a device near the hub and then move it away to be installed.
If you've tried all of the above and are still seeing the same issue, please don't hesitate to reach out!
