Have the ZSE42 Water Leak Sensor paired to Home Assistant in a flash! Ensure you are using the latest JS-Z-Wave integration.
Use these steps to add the ZSE42 to Home Assistant:
- Power the sensor up.
- In Home Assistant: open Configuration > Integrations > Z-Wave JS > Configure.
- Click on Add node.
- Click on Start Inclusion to initiate pairing.
- Click the Z-Wave button 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing).
- Home Assistant will confirm that the sensor was added and it will be immediately visible in your device list. After a short while (seconds to minutes) the entities should also be created. If they don't, click the Z-Wave button 4 times quickly to wake the sensor up so it can fully configure.
*If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK key or scan the QR code printed on the back cover of the sensor to complete SmartStart inclusion.
Inclusion issues? You may need to exclude the sensor in order to include it. The process can resolve any configuration and inclusion issues. Try the steps below (even if it hasn't been previously connected to your hub):
- In Home Assistant: open Configuration > Integrations > Z-Wave JS > Configure.
- Click on Remove Node.
- Click on Start Exclusion.
- Click the Z-Wave button 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing).
- Home Assistant will confirm that the device was removed and you should now be able to add it to your system.
