If your ZAC36 has trouble being added or included, give exclusion a try first!
The process acts as a soft reset for the device to help with any configuration or inclusion issues. You can exclude or remove the ZAC36 even if it was never successfully added to your Z-Wave network.
Here are the steps for excluding your ZAC36 Valve Actuator:
- Put your Z-Wave hub into exclusion mode (see your controller's manual for details, as each brand is different)
- Tap the switch button 3 times quickly - it's a touch button so wait for a beep each time you press it (there will be no tactile feedback like on a push button).
- Your hub should confirm exclusion; the switch will disappear from your device list
Once exclusion is completed, try re-including the device to your hub.
If your Valve Actuator is still having trouble communicating with the hub, here are some other things to try:
- Try excluding the ZAC36 again in case it didn't work on the first try.
- Try bringing the hub closer to the ZAC36 and excluding/including it again. If you're successful this time then the original spot may be out of range.
