Use the ZSE42's advanced settings to have the sensor fit your installation needs!
The ZSE42 sensor is integrated with the latest JS integration of Home Assistant, so you should have access to all of its advanced settings once included. If you aren't on the JS integration yet, Home Assistant currently recommends handling Z-Wave devices through the new Z-Wave JS integration since all others have essentially been abandoned and / or discontinued.
All of the ZSE42's advanced settings should be available, but since it is in beta release, it may still need to be integrated for certain settings and parameters. There is another way to make adjustments to your sensor's settings in the meantime.
You can now change any parameter manually on the JS Z-Wave integration for Home Assistant.
It needs to be done in Z-Wave JS UI and it’s not possible to do this within HA directly at the moment:
- Under node, scroll down below any exposed settings for the device (under Configuration) to the Custom Configuration section as shown in the screenshot here, where you'll see Value, Parameter and Size.
- You can enter the data according to the product documentation and click SET for the parameter to be updated.
- If you have a battery-powered device, you'll need to wake it up by clicking the Z-Wave button 4 times quickly so the new settings are received.
