If your ZEN34 is having trouble, a factory reset could help with any configuration issues.
If you've already given exclusion a try, and your Remote Switch is unresponsive to manual and Z-Wave control, then a factory reset is the next step. A hard reset will erase all custom settings and recorded activity, returning the device to factory defaults.
There are two methods to reset the device, depending on if you have an earlier 700 series device or the new 800LR.
For the earlier 700 series version:
Tap-tap-tap'and'hold the upper paddle. The LED indicator will blink red 5 times to indicate successful reset
For the new 800LR version:
Tap-tap-tap'n'hold the lower paddle (this is the bottom paddle closer to the LED indicator) until the LED indicator starts blinking red. The LED indicator will blink 10 times and then stay solid red for 2 seconds to indicate a successful reset.
After resetting the unit, try including it to your Z-Wave hub again to see if that helped resolve any issues you were seeing. If the unit's LED is not lighting up, try a fresh battery to rule out any power related issues.
