ZEN72 Dimmer Change Log

Here is a list of updates we made to the ZEN72 700 Series Dimmer so far:

Original release

Firmware: 1.01

Central scene triggers for up to 10 scenes or devices
Smart bulb mode (disable relay)
Support for on/off and momentary switch types in direct 3-way
Programmable double and single click behavior
Night light mode (press and hold the lower paddle when the dimmer is off to turn on to low brightness)

Firmware: 10.0

Removed the delay for on/off control from paddle with scene control disabled
Added the ability to disable programming function from the paddles (Parameter 26)
Fixed relay behavior after power outage in smart bulb mode (both relay and on/off status are restored correctly after an outage now)
Fixed night light mode (doesn't activate the light anymore when disabled)
Fixed single-tap behavior bug in a 3-way installation (the connected 3-way switch now honors the single-tap setting as well)

Separated ramp rate settings into 4 new parameters: ramp rate ON physical (9), ramp rate OFF physical (27), ramp rate ON Z-Wave (28), ramp rate OFF Z-Wave (29). See all settings here.
Fixed ramp rate settings to honor minimum and maximum brightness settings for both physical and Z-Wave commands.
Added association Group 4 for remote dimming.
Added parameter 30 to adjust dimming multilevel duration for devices associated with the dimmer in Group 3 and Group 4. See all settings here.
Adjusted dimming scale mapping to minimum and maximum brightness levels.
Fixed multilevel association to work for both manual and Z-Wave commands.
Fixed night light behavior (the dimmer no longer sends central scene events repeatedly when night light mode is disabled and the bottom paddle is held).
Fixed smart bulb mode behavior after a power outage: the dimmer now restores both the actual status of the dimmer and the reported status to the hub correctly when in smart bulb mode.

Adjusted Direct Association behavior for Group 3 for full sync and smooth dimming when two or more Z-Wave dimmers are associated together in a virtual 3-way or 4-way set-up
The value for the double tap setting now applies to devices associated with the Z-Wave dimmer in Groups 2-4
The Night Light Mode setting now applies to devices associated with the Z-Wave dimmer in Groups 2-4
Added parameter 7 to choose Direct Association reports sent to devices associated with the Z-Wave dimmer in Group 3. See all settings here.

Fixed central scene bug for control of its own load in smart bulb mode
Added parameter 31 to enable scene control from the momentary switch in a 3-way. See all settings here.
Added parameter 32 to disable LED blinking when a setting is changed. See all settings here.
Changed the manual operation for disabling the relay (smart bulb mode): Hold the UPPER paddle for 10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking, then within 2 seconds, tap the upper paddle 5 times quickly to change this mode. The LED indicator will stay solid green for 3 seconds to confirm the change.
Improved the factory reset procedure: The dimmer will not lock up if the factory reset is not successful in certain scenarios.
