For Z-Wave control of the ZEN52 Double Relay you will need to include it to your network; a process also known as adding or pairing.
Important Note: A steady, blinking green is the standard state for the device; as long as the unit has power, it will blink green at a steady pace. The device has an internal relay, which can turn on and off with a click of the Z-Wave button. This means that when you are attempting to include or exclude the device, the clicks need to happen as fast as possible; if the clicks are not completed fast enough, the relay will engage instead and the device will not enter inclusion or exclusion mode. You will know you have clicked fast enough when the LED indicator begins flashing rapidly.
To auto-include your ZEN52 Double Relay:
- Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode (see your hub's manual for instructions since each brand is different). If you’re using an S2 hub, it may ask you to enter the DSK key printed on the back cover sticker to complete secure inclusion
- The LED indicator will blink green to signal communication and turn green for 2 seconds if inclusion is successful.
To manually include your ZEN52 Double Relay:
- Put the Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode (see your hub's manual for instructions since each brand is different)
- Click the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly. The LED indicator will begin flashing green rapidly. Alternatively, if the relay is already installed, you can simply toggle the external switch connected to ZEN51 very quickly from off to on, so: "up-down, up-down, up-down." Check out the video linked here to show you how this process works!
- The new device should appear on your hub's device list
If you've tried auto and manual inclusion but find the ZEN52 Relay is not including, please try to exclude the device, then try including again.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the process.
