If your ZEN77 is showing as “offline” in Hubitat, it may be out of range or not configured properly. The issue could be resolved with a simple Z-Wave Network Repair.

You’ll want to check that your Hubitat platform is running on the most up-to-date version first. Once you’ve done that, you can try repairing your network connections with a Z-Wave Network Repair.

The process is quick with only a few easy steps:

  1. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Click on Z-Wave Details

  4. Click on Repair Z-Wave

After the repair runs, a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message should confirm the process was successful. You can then attempt to include the switch to your hub again.

If the Z-Wave Repair didn’t fix the issue, you can also try these:

  • You can exclude the ZEN77 dimmer before pairing it again. The process acts as a soft reset to help the switch improve communication with your hub, or properly configure if it didn’t on the first try.

  • Adding a non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or dedicated Z-Wave signal repeater, is another option to extend signal range and strengthen the communication route between the ZEN77 and Hubitat. You’ll want to run another Network Repair to establish the new communication route.

  • You can also try installing the switch in a location closer to the hub in case it is currently out of range. From its new location, you’ll want to exclude and connect to the hub again to form the new path of communication.

We’ll be happy to help if you’re still experiencing issues with your ZEN77 dimmer – just send us a message!
