Is your ZAC38 Range Extender powered and included but displaying "No Connection" on your Z-Box Hub? Check out the troubleshooting steps below!
No need for a network repair here! While a device may show as "No Connection" in a few cases, the Z-Box automatically refreshes the network and rebuilds the mesh on a regular basis in the background. Unlike most hubs currently available, there is no need for a command to refresh the network or repair the device connections on the Z-Box, as it is consistently running in the background and rerouting communication as necessary.
If the ZAC38 Range Extender is showing as "No Connection" on your Z-Box, start by clicking on the tile to reconnect the device. Navigate to the Dashboard > click the red ZAC38 tile to ping the device. The ZAC38 should reconnect and return to green once the connection has been re-established.
Still showing "No Connection"?
- Try adding a signal repeating (non-battery powered) device between the hub and the ZAC38. This helps if range or interference is affecting the signal.
Try bringing the ZAC38 closer to the hub, excluding the device and re-including it while near the hub. If the ZAC38 is then included successfully and the connection remains steady, it is possible there is interference between the hub and the device, or the previous spot may be out of range.
If you are able to control your device from the Z-Box without issue but it is occasionally showing the device as "No Connection," you can disable the display by following the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings > Devices > click on the arrow to open the settings for the ZAC38 > Advanced > Uncheck "Mark if Unavailable"
