How to Factory Reset the ZST39 800LR Stick

Having issues with your stick? Looking to clear the device and restore it to factory settings?

The ZST39 800LR can only be reset by the host software while it’s in SerialAPI mode. The device is reset once an appropriate command from the host software is sent to reset the Z-Wave network. There is no way to manually reset the module without a connection to the host software.

We've included a screenshot from Home Assistant as an example.

NOTEThe process will be different based on how the host software displays the options, so we recommend reaching out to your home automation software support if you are unsure where to locate the reset from your hub software interface. We provide hardware support for the ZST39; if you have a question on how your particular home automation software displays these options, please reach out to your home automation software provider for more details.

1. Under Device Info for the ZST39, click the 3 dots to the right of the blue Update. A drop-down menu will display.

2. Click Factory reset.

If there doesn't seem to be away to factory reset the Z-Stick using your system's interface, you can also do it with the help of the software mentioned in the below article:
http://www.support.getzooz.com/kb/article/253-how-to-perform-an-ota-firmware-update-on-zooz-devices/
You'll need to add the Z-Stick to the PC Controller software (steps 1-5 in the article) and then in the Network Management view of the software, you'll see a button on the right hand site that says "Reset" - this will reset the stick.

If you want to backup your current network prior to resetting the stick, follow the provided steps in the following article: How to Perform an NVM Backup for Your ZST10 700 & ZST39 800 Z-Wave Stick on Home Assistant
