Trouble including the ZEN32 to Alarm.com? Give exclusion a try first!

The process acts as a soft reset for the device to help with any configuration or inclusion issues. You can exclude or remove the ZEN32 even if it was never successfully added to your Z-Wave network. This is a standard Z-Wave function and can be done with any Z-Wave device on any Z-Wave hub at any time, regardless of the devices inclusion status. This means that even if the device has never been included, is currently not included, or is even included to another hub that might not be responsive, you can still exclude it from the new hub. Exclusion simply acts as a soft Z-Wave reset that prepares the device for inclusion and resolves most inclusion or configuration issues.

1. From the Home page in the app, choose More:

2. Click Manage Devices:

3. Under Lights and Switches, click on the three dots under the ZEN32. Under Actions click Remove Device. If you are running exclusion for a device that has not been included, you can select the three dots next to any device currently in your system. All this does is put your system into exclusion mode. In the steps below, you will activate the device you wish to exclude, and it will exclude the device that you have activated, and not the device you selected in this step (unless this is the device you physically activate):

4. The system is preparing to remove the Device, please wait.

5. Looking for the device. Activate exclusion by clicking the main switch button 3 times quickly (the LED indicator will start blinking blue):

6. The device has been removed. Click Continue to exit the wizard:
