If you're unable add your ZEN15 Power Switch to Vera, don't worry! Try excluding the device instead.
If you’re running your VeraLite, VeraEdge, VeraPlus, or VeraSecure on the latest UI7, try adding the ZEN15 Power Switch first. It should be included as a Generic Z-Wave device. Once inclusion times out, try the steps below:
1. Tap the green Retry button in the bottom right corner of the app - this will put Vera into exclusion mode.
2. Exclude the ZEN15 Power Switch by pressing and releasing the Z-Wave button 3 TIMES QUICKLY.
3. The LED indicator on the ZEN15 Power Switch will start flashing orange, then turn blue (on) or pink (off) once excluded. Vera will confirm the device was excluded in a message on top of the screen.
4. Retry the inclusion process once again - Vera will automatically go back to the inclusion screen once exclusion is finalized.
If exclusion and re-inclusion don't help, here are some other helpful troubleshoot ideas that have helped users in the past:
- Try the exclusion process once again. It's possible that the commands just didn't go through the first time.
- Bring the ZEN15 Power Switch closer to Vera. If it includes successfully from a different spot, the previous spot may be out of range.
- Once Vera goes into inclusion mode, press and release the Z-Wave button very quickly more than 3 times to ensure the command has gone through.
- If you are trying to include the device as a secure one, please make sure your controller supports AES signal encryption.
When dealing with older firmware, just press the exclusion ("-") button on Vera and try the exclusion process outlined above (though we highly recommend updating to UI7 to take advantage of all the security, compatibility, and interface upgrades that come with the new software).
