Your ZEN21 switch could be out of range or not configured correctly if it is showing “offline” in Hubitat. A Network Repair could help resolve the issue.
This is product is discontinued and replaced with ZEN71.
Confirm your Hubitat is running on the latest platform version before repairing your network connections with a Z-Wave Network Repair. It’s an easy process you can perform in Hubitat using these steps:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
A "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" confirmation should appear once it successfully runs. Then you can try adding the switch to your network again.
Here are some other tips to try if your switch is still not working correctly:
-
Give exclusion and re-inclusion a try. The switch may not have properly configured with the hub on the first attempt. Removing and re-adding the device can help the device find a better communication route with the hub.
-
If possible, adding another non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or dedicated Z-Wave signal repeater, between the switch and hub could improve communication with the devices. Once you’ve added one, perform another Network Repair to establish the communication route.
-
The switch could be out of the hub’s range and needs to be installed in a closer location to improve communication. Once installed, perform another exclusion and add the switch for the new location.
