This is product is discontinued and replaced with the ZEN74. What does that mean?
Range or configuration issues usually cause the ZEN24 switch to appear as “offline” in Hubitat. You can try fixing the problem with a simple Z-Wave Repair.
You’ll need to check if your Hubitat platform is up-to-date first. Then, you can give repairing your network connections a try. Follow these steps to run the repair in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
A successful repair will be confirmed with a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message. Afterwards, you can perform the inclusion process again to add the switch to your network.
If your ZEN24 is still having issues, you can try these other tricks:
-
Excluding the switch from your hub before re-including it could help it form a better communication route with Hubitat. Z-Wave devices like the ZEN24 switch may not always configure correctly on the first try, and exclusion is a soft reset that helps with communication and configuration.
-
Another solution could be to include an additional non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or dedicated Z-Wave signal repeater, to your network, if you have one. This will help the hub form a faster and stronger communication route to the switch. You’ll need to run another Z-Wave Repair afterwards for the hub to recognize the additional device and form the new route.
-
If your switch is out of range to communicate to the hub, you may need to install it in a closer location, and perform an exclusion before adding it from the new location.
Please send us a message if none of these steps have resolved issues with your ZEN24 switch.
