If your ZEN15 is showing up as “offline” in Hubitat it could mean it is installed out of range or didn’t configure properly. The problem might be resolved by a simple Z-Wave Repair.
You’ll want to check that your Hubitat platform is updated to the latest version. You can then use Z-Wave Repair to refresh your mesh network connections. Follow the steps below to run the process in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
You’ll want to wait until you receive a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" confirmation message. Once Hubitat confirms the process was successful, you can try pairing the Power Switch to your hub again.
If your ZEN15 is still displaying connectivity issues, you can try these other troubleshooting steps:
- Exclusion is a process that acts as a soft reset and can help improve the communication route between the ZEN15 and your hub. You’ll want to exclude before trying to connect the Power Switch again as the device may not have configured correctly on the first try.
- If you have another non-battery powered Z-Wave device, you can add it to your network, to extend the range and help the ZEN15 and hub communicate better. You’ll want to run another Network Repair for the new device and pathway to be recognized.
- Plug the switch into a closer location to the hub in case it’s too far away. Make sure to exclude and pair the ZEN15 from the new location for the change to be realized by Hubitat.
