If your Titan Valve Actuator isn't discovered by Vera after several pairing attempts, you can try one of the below solutions.
Firstly, you can try to exclude the device. The process can help the hub find the Titan more easily by resetting it - and it can be excluded even if it was never included!
Try the steps below:
- Start the inclusion process to Vera once more (choose Generic Z-Wave device from the list) and wait for it to time out
- Tap the green Retry button in the bottom right corner of the app - this will put Vera into exclusion mode.
- While the system is searching for a device, tap the switch button 3 times quickly - it's a touch button so wait for a beep each time you press it (there will be no tactile feedback like on a push button).
- Once exclusion goes through, Vera will automatically go back to the inclusion screen and start searching for the Titan Valve Actuator.
- Tap the switch button 3 times quickly to include it.
If exclusion and re-inclusion didn't help, here are some other things to try:
- Give exclusion another try. Sometimes the command doesn't go through correctly on the first try.
- Check your device lists again in case the actuator added in the background under an unnamed room.
- Add a Z-Wave signal repeater between the ZAC36 and hub. A Z-Wave signal repeater is any non-battery powered Z-Wave device (a Z-Wave smart plug, switch, relay, or even dedicated repeater). The repeater should help the hub improve communication with the Titan Valve Actuator if it's out of range or far away from other signal repeating devices. You'll want to exclude and re-include the ZAC36 after adding the repeater in order for the hub to recognize the additional device and use it to reach the relay.
- You can also try to bring the hub closer to the ZAC36 for inclusion.
If exclusion didn't help, you can always try to factory reset the device using the steps described here.
