Try exclusion! Even if your switch was never included, you can still exclude the device from Vera:
This is product is discontinued and replaced with ZEN71.
First, try adding the switch one more time. It should be included as a Generic Z-Wave device. Once inclusion times out, try the steps below:
1. Tap the green Retry button in the bottom right corner of the app - this will put Vera into exclusion mode.
2. Tap the LOWER paddle 3 times quickly.
3. Once exclusion goes through, Vera will automatically go back to the inclusion screen and start searching for the switch.
4. Tap the UPPER paddle 3 times quickly to add it.
NOTE: For those of you referring to the older version of the manual, there's a mistake in the inclusion section. You shouldn't try including the device by tapping the paddle in an up-down-up motion; this is incorrect. Instead make sure to perform the action as shown in step 2 above. The online and print documentation have been corrected as of February 2018, but this tip is for users who happen to have the older version of the manual.
