When your switch is unresponsive to any other commands, a hard reset is the next step.
If you haven't already, we recommend giving exclusion a try first before trying a hard reset. But if that doesn't help, proceed with these reset steps:
- Press and hold the lower paddle for 10 seconds or more until the LED indicator starts blinking.
- Release the paddle and immediately after, tap the lower paddle 5 times to complete the reset.
- The LED indicator will flash blue 3 times and turn red for 3 seconds to confirm a successful reset.
Hard reset will erase all custom settings and recorded activity, returning the device to factory defaults.
Once the switch's LED indicator confirms a successful reset, try including it back to your Z-Wave network again to see if it works as expected.
