Can't Add My ZSE42 Water Leak XS Sensor to Hubitat

Having issues including the ZSE42 XS Sensor to Hubitat? Try excluding the sensor first.

Please ensure the platform is running on version 2.2.9 or higher.

 

If you find you are unable to include the ZSE42 Sensor to Hubitat, please try the exclusion process first. This can be done even if it was never connected to the hub, as it acts as a soft reset.

 

If the sensor is having problems connecting to Hubitat:

  1. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  2. Go to Devices

  3. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

  4. Click on Z-Wave

  5. Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion

  6. While the device is searching for a device, click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible

  7. The app will indicate when the device is successfully excluded.

 

Upon the successful exclusion of the ZSE42, please follow these steps to reinclude your ZSE42 Water Leak XS Sensor to Hubitat:

 

  1. Power the sensor up.

  2. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  3. Go to Devices

  4. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

  5. Click on Z-Wave

  6. Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion

  7. While the app says is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)

  8. Rename and confirm the found device
