If you're having issues pairing your ZEN06 Smart Plug with SmartThings, here's what you can try.
The most common troubleshoot of all: simply excluding the device! Even if your ZEN06 Smart Plug was never successfully included to SmartThings, exclusion acts as a kind of reset. We find it helps with a host of inclusion and configuration issues.
Below are the exclusion steps for the SmartThings app:
- Open your SmartThings app and locate your SmartThings hub under Devices. Tap the hub to see the device details.

Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner and tap Settings
- Tap Z-Wave Utilities
- Tap Z-Wave Exclusion
- While the app is searching for a device, click the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times as quickly as possible
- The app will indicate when the device is successfully removed. Tap Done
Once exclusion is completed, try adding the Smart Plug again by clicking on Add Thing in your SmartThings app and pressing and releasing the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly once again.
