If your ZSE43 XS sensor is included but shows offline, it may be a range or connectivity issue.
The Network Repair feature can refresh your mesh network's connections using the SmartThings app.
Steps for Network Repair below:
- Open your SmartThings app and locate your SmartThings hub under Devices. Tap the hub to see the device details.
-
Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner and tap Settings
- Tap Z-Wave Utilities
- Tap Repair Z-Wave Network
- Tap Start Repair
Before sending any commands to your ZSE43 XS Sensor, wait until you see the "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message. This can take up to 15 minutes. When this is completed, try to include the sensor back into your network.
If Network Repair doesn't help:
- Bring the sensor close to your SmartThings hub
- Exclude it from within direct range of the hub
- Re-include it from the same range
If the sensor is then included successfully and the connection remains steady, it is possible there are too many interferences between the hub and the sensor, or the previous spot may be out of SmartThings' range.
Try again to exclude and re-include the sensor from the installation location directly. It's possible that SmartThings has not yet found the most efficient communication route to the ZSE43 XS Sensor. This can occasionally happen when you include a device near the hub and then move it away to be installed.
If you've tried all of the above and are still seeing the same issue, please don't hesitate to reach out!
